We recently carried out an urgent repair on a heavy-duty tipper lorry where the rear pivot shaft and mounting brackets had worn down to a critical level. Unfortunately, the required replacement parts were no longer available from the manufacturer.

Our solution was to design and fabricate a complete new pivot shaft assembly along with reinforced brackets in our workshop. The new components were precision-machined and modified to fit the existing setup perfectly, then professionally installed on site.

The repair has restored smooth, safe operation to the tipper body and significantly extended the working life of the vehicle without the need for costly replacement parts or downtime.

This is a great example of the type of custom steel fabrication and vehicle modification work we carry out regularly for the plant, haulage, and construction sectors.

At JC Welding we offer:

  • Custom pivot shafts and bushes
  • Worn bracket and hinge repairs
  • Heavy vehicle modifications
  • Emergency fabrication when OEM parts are obsolete
  • On-site fitting and welding services

If you have a commercial vehicle, tipper, or piece of plant machinery with worn or unavailable parts, get in touch — we’ll engineer a solution for you.
